Tunewerks Remote Live Tuning Session
Focus RS, Focus ST, and Fiesta ST Custom tuning remotely is extremely cost effective, but it takes at least a few days to complete, in most cases, since the datalogging and calibrations are not done in real time. For most, the trade off makes sense considering the financial savings. For Tunewerks customers who want to speed up the dialing-in process we offer our ECU programming, datalogging analysis, and troubleshooting services in real time via our hourly Live Tuning Sessions.
You have the choice of street tuning or dyno tuning. For dyno tuning you will need to ensure that you have internet access and the ability to access the dyno charts during the session. For street tuning you will just need to make sure you have internet connectivity; most phones have hotspot functionality. In both cases you will need to use a reliable laptop computer. Only the most basic computing skills are needed to send datalogs and receive new calibration files. We can assist anyone who needs help getting set up or needs help navigating the basic computing functions. Windows and Mac are supported.
It's best to sort out the aforementioned details in advance, before the clock starts on the live tuning session. We can assist with a checklist to make sure everything goes smoothly so you get the most out of the live tuning session possible.
You MUST purchase Tunewerks custom tuning in order to use our Remote Live Tuning or Track Support sessions. That is a separate purchase and is a requirement in order to use this service.
Tunewerks Remote Live Track Support Session
For those needing live track support, the Tunewerks Remote Live Tuning session can also be utilized. We work with several rally teams and can support professional operations as well as grassroots and amateur racers. Rally, rallycross, road course, autocross, drag racing, hillclimb, and time attack are all supported.
The minimum session you can purchase is one hour, but most tuning needs at least two hours unless only minor calibration adjustments are needed. If you would like to purchase three hours of time, for example, you'd select a quantity of three. Contact us if you need recommendations on how much time you will need for your particular situation.
Setting up your appointment
Once you've placed your order a member of our staff will contact you to set up a time and day that works for all parties. We are located in California, Pacific Standard Time Zone. There are time considerations, but we have a global clientele and can accommodate most requests with advance notice. If you are on a tight schedule with little or no flexibility please contact us BEFORE placing your order to avoid disappointment. We can work with schedule changes with 24 hours notice, but keep in mind there are no refunds once your purchase has been made.
The day of your Live Tuning Session or Track Event
On the day of your tuning session or race, things can sometimes run longer than expected. Not to worry, though! If you find that you need more time during the Live Tuning or Track Support we can absolutely work with you. Our Live Tuning and Track Support sessions are available in one hour blocks of time and more time can be purchased on the day of the appointment with ease.
